Adults Have Two Paths to Licensure
Option A:
Obtain a learner’s permit
Complete your practice hours (At least 45 hours is recommended)
Hold a learner’s permit for at least 60 days
Take a road test at a DMV
Option B:
Obtain a learner’s permit
Complete your practice hours (At least 45 hours is recommended)
Sign up and pass a Behind The Wheel Course (Must have passed a state-approved classroom driver’s education course)
Take your passing certificate to the DMV to obtain a temporary driver’s license
